Are you looking to set up your new Wi-Fi water softener? You've made it to the right place! This article will guide you through how to install the app, set up your account, and connect the water softener.
Before You Start
- Make sure you have access to your email inbox to complete account activation
- Have your Bluetooth turned ON
- Make sure you have a WiFi Router with a 2.4 GHz band. Your water softener cannot connect to a 5 GHz band. Learn more here.
Step 1 - Download the iQua®2 app and Create your Account
1. First, you'll need to download the app from the app store or google play store.
2. When you open it up, you'll select 'Create an Account.' Fill out the form and enter the email you'll want to receive notifications for. Make sure to select "I agree to the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy". Then hit 'Submit'.
3. Next, you'll receive a confirmation code in your email. You may need to check your junk or spam folder. Once you've got that code, go ahead and enter it into the app and select 'Validate User'.
4. On the next screen, you'll get a message asking if you'd like to allow notifications. Select 'Allow' if you'd like to receive them on your phone.
Step 2 - Begin the Connection Process
1. On the water softener, go ahead and press both the Up and Down arrows at the same time and hold them until the screen shows 'Conn'. The status light should be a solid amber color. The softener is ready to connect!
2. If you're not already signed in, login to your iQua®2 account. Select 'Connect' to begin connecting the softener.
3. On the next screen, you'll tap 'Setup Device'. This will begin pairing via Bluetooth. Once the softener is found, you'll want to tap 'Yes' to begin connecting to the Wi-Fi network.
Step 3 - Finish Connecting the Softener to Wi-Fi
1. You'll see a list of wireless networks on the screen. Select your home network and enter the password. Then select 'Connect Device to Network'. You'll see the screen on the softener change from 'C-1' where it's connecting to the Wi-Fi, and then 'C-2' when it's connecting to the internet.
2. When it's officially connected, you'll hear a beep and then you'll see a 'Success' message pop up on the screen'.
3. Go ahead continue on through the prompts to set up your preferences to finish setting up!
